Birch Bark

These images feature a shallow depth of field, shot with a wide open normal lens in late morning autumn light. I find the texture of trees fascinating. Like snowflakes, no two appear alike when seen from close up. They come alive in texture and shadow. These images were taken in October of 2004 in South Colton, NY in the foothills of the Adirondacks.
